Foreign labor
Valid identification
Heartland Festival has the responsibility to ensure that we do not have illegal foreign labor at our festival. If you wish to volunteer at the festival, it therefore required that you have the right to work in Denmark.
You have the right to work in Denmark if you meet one of the following criteria:
- You are a Danish citizen.
- You are a citizen of the EU/EEA, Norway, and Switzerland.
- You have a valid residence permit with permission to work. This card must be issued in Denmark by SIRI, the Immigration Service, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A European residence card is not valid in Denmark.
Valid identification showing that you have the right to work in Denmark is important when you want to volunteer at the Heartland Festival. You must provide your citizenship information when registering as a volunteer and again when you receive your wristband.
The type of identification you need to bring varies depending on your citizenship. Your access wristband cannot be issued if you do not meet the requirements below:
If you are a Danish citizen, there are two options for presenting valid identification when receiving the wristband:
- Bring your passport in physical form.
- Bring a color photo of your passport along with a personal ID card (driver’s license, Danish identification card, or health card) in physical form or in app format. The ID card must verify the validity of the displayed color photo of the passport.
If you are a citizen of EU/EEA countries, Norway, or Switzerland, the only valid identification is your valid passport in physical form.
If you are a citizen outside the international EEA cooperation, you must present a valid passport in physical form along with a Danish-issued residence permit with the correct work permit when receiving the wristband.
We emphasize that you cannot receive your access wristband if you have not brought the correct form of identification.
Are you in doubt whether your residence permit includes a valid work permit? You can check the overview on pages 10-11 in this pamphlet.
